2025 8th International Conference on Civil Architecture, Hydropower and Engineering Management (CAHEM 2025) successfully concluded online on the afternoon of November 29. The conference commenced promptly at 9:00 AM, bringing together experts and scholars from across the globe. Through its agenda featuring an opening ceremony, a virtual group photo, keynote presentations, and oral sessions, the event facilitated a rich and forward-looking academic exchange. The proceedings drew to a close at approximately 16:00 PM.

First, Assoc. Prof Bin Hu from Beijing University of Technology delivered a report titled "Study on Composite Utilization of Underground Space of Public Green Space in Beijing Old Town," systematically elaborating on innovative models for multifunctional integration and intensive utilization of underground space in the context of urban renewal in historic areas. This provides crucial planning pathways and practical strategies for optimizing spatial resources in historically and culturally significant cities toward sustainable development.

Subsequently, Assoc. Prof. Dong Zhou from Zhengzhou University of Technology presented a report titled "Research on Solid Waste Resource Utilization and Application of High-Performance Concrete," which systematically explored innovative pathways for the resourceful disposal of solid waste and its key technologies in preparing high-performance concrete, providing crucial theoretical support and practical solutions for the green, low-carbon transformation of the construction materials industry.

During the subsequent oral presentation session, several young scholars from Shanghai Maritime University, Haiwei Engineering Construction Co., Ltd., The University of Saint Joseph, Macau, Yanshan University, Nanjing Tech University, and Nanchang University presented their cutting-edge research findings. The reports in this session covered a wide range of topics, including the full lifecycle perspective of digital construction processes, seismic performance tests of bridge piers, and studies on the performance of reinforced concrete, among other key subjects. These discussions showcased the immense potential of interdisciplinary research approaches in addressing complex challenges in civil engineering.


The 8th International Conference on Civil Architecture, Hydropower and Engineering Management (CAHEM 2025) was successfully concluded with a well-organized agenda and vibrant intellectual exchanges. Despite being held fully online, the academic enthusiasm remained high, with active participation in Q&A sessions and insightful sharing of research findings. The convening of CAHEM 2025 has not only provided a high-level platform for global experts and scholars in the fields of civil architecture, hydropower, and engineering management but has also collectively showcased cutting-edge technological advances—spanning from traditional infrastructure safety to emerging green building materials, and from fundamental engineering mechanics to intelligent construction management.
